Another successful Gasshuku took place at the Nuffield Health Chichester on the 12-13 February 2022. People attending came from our clubs in Kent, London, Hampshire and Surrey.
However, Covid is still with us and a lot of students who had intended to train were forced to pull out having tested positive. Everybody gave 100% over the two days, especially those who successfully graded for Shodan and Nidan. The next two day course is scheduled at Lydd on the 7-8 May 2022, followed by the Summer Gasshuku at our usual home, Milton Abbey, from 18-21 July 2022.
After the postponement of last year’s Instructors’ Dinner, we managed to hold it this year at our favourite venue The Woodlands Park Hotel. The majority of instructors were able to attend, with a few absent due to Covid. A fantastic evening was enjoyed by all.
The annual Graham Smith Trophy, which used to be awarded at our National Championships, has for the second time been presented at our Instructors’ Dinner.

A highly successful Autumn Gasshuku!
People from London and Kent travelled down to Chichester (Nuffield Health & Fitness Centre) to train for the Autumn Gasshuku. Even though numbers were limited because of the space available, we had Dan grades and senior kyu grades in attendance. Everyone worked very hard with a great atmosphere on both days.
