Roy has been training for over 50 years, gaining his Shodan in Shotokan in 1979 by Sensei Enoeda Chief Instructor of the JKA and KUGB in the UK.
He came to Washinkai in 1985 and has travelled to Japan as part of this organization. He continued his karate training with Washinkai in the late 80s and 90,s becoming a highly successful, regular competitor for many years.
