Born in Norway in 1945, Professor Geir Store studied dentistry, gaining a degree from the University of Oslo in 1970. Seven years later, he gained a degree in Medicine and had a successful career as a Maxillo-facial Surgeon at the University Hospital in Oslo. He has studied karate with many senior Karateka including Toru Takamizawa, Masafumi Shiomitsu and Shingo Ohgami, amongst others finally becoming the Washinkai Chief Instructor for Norway. Professor Store is also a Senior National Referee and Judge for the Norwegian Karate Federation. He has written many medical articles as well as a comprehensive book on karate entitled “Karate Kata Training
