My role as safeguarding lead is to ensure that all students may feel at ease training in an environment that facilitates learning, the development and practice of new skills and understanding, and a growing camaraderie with fellow students (Karateka).
While the Dojo may have ‘strict’ discipline, this will not be harsh, unfair or punitive.
As safeguarding lead I would encourage students, and parents/guardians, to approach or contact me in confidence if they have any concerns at all regarding any aspect of training or behaviour in the Dojo, or if they have any concerns about a child’s safety and well-being
In the event of very serious child safeguarding concerns these may be escalated, confidentially, to appropriate local agencies.
Any safeguarding concerns can also be discussed with the organisations listed below.
