I started training at the age of 14 with the EKKA (English Korean Karate Association) at a small village hall in Suffolk. To this day when I go back to visit my family in Ipswich I will still pop in to train when the opportunity arises.
I achieved my 1st Dan at the age of 21 and shortly after found myself inducted into the Royal Navy. During my Navel career I was fortunate enough to represent the Navy in karate for both kata and kumite.
Having left the Navy in 2006 I set up my own class teaching children and found myself joining the BTKA in 2011 training with Sensei Thompson
