October 24, 2019 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

On Thursday 24th October, Canons Karate Club will be participating in the “Challenge Okinawa – 100 Kata for Karate Day” event.

This will be starting at 6.15 pm after a short warm up and is expected to end at about 8.30 pm.  There will be plenty of opportunity for water breaks!

This is an annual WORLDWIDE event and for the 6th year, the 100 Kata will be taking place in dojos all around the world.

In Okinawa, Japan, this event is taking place in Matsuyama Park.  A kata demonstration event will be open to all styles and dojos which has become a global celebration of Okinawan martial arts – “Karate Day” in Okinawa.  Inspire by the classic karate phrase “Train Hard 100 Times”, tens of thousands of karate-ka worldwise have completed the 100 kata challenge since it started 6 years’ ago.  It is simple – select a kata to perform for 100 repetitions.  It’s up to you whether you select an easy or advanced kata – it’s your challenge!

The usual dojo fee applies.  All Washinkai karate-ka are welcome to join us!
